Doug Millar, PGA Class A

Born in Montreal and moving to Ontario before his 2nd birthday Doug started his passion for golf at the early age of 7. Doug spent his summers playing junior golf and baseball and the winters curling. Doug attended the first Arnold Palmer Golf Academy in Stratton Mountain Vermont where he set the amateur course record of 69 at age 15 and was voted “best swing” Doug attended the University of Western Ontario graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Physical Education. Doug entered the PGA in 1975 and achieved Head Pro status in 1981. Doug has studied under some of the best – Dr. Bob Winters – Fred Griffin – Dr. Bob Rotella – Jimmy Ballard and Butch Harmon to name a few. Doug is a certified Club Fitter and a TaylorMade Fit Center fitter. Doug continually educates himself by attending PGA of America and PGA of Canada seminars and workshops.

Jeff Bentley, PGA Class A

Growing up in Simcoe, Jeff started playing golf at the early age of 8. Jeff also achieved Junior C status playing on the Simcoe IBA Junior Hockey Team. Jeff achieved Head Pro status in 1983 and was Head Professional at Brantford Golf & Country club for 17 years. Jeff has worked with notable golfers such as LPGA player Alena Sharp and PGA Tour Player David Hearn, as well as teaching two Provincial Amateur Champions and two Canadian Amateur Champions. Jeff and his wife Molly, their children and grandchildren still reside in the Simcoe\Brantford area.

Gord Head, PGA Class A

Gord developed his desire to teach golf while he was completing his Master's Degree in Engineering at McMaster University, and in 2001 joined the teaching staff at Southern Pines as a member of the Canadian PGA. He is an enthusiastic instructor that strives to see his students improve, yet his relaxed approach helps students enjoy golf while learning valuable skills. Gord draws on his kinesiology and engineering backgrounds to help students utilize their body to their fullest potential, and tailors his teaching method to address the particular swing style for every student.

Deborah Lee Eldridge , PGA Class A

​We welcome Deborah Lee Eldridge to our Teaching Program at Southern Pines. Deborah is former LPGA tour Member with 12 professional tournaments wins on her resume. Deborah has an extensive resume listing all her Golf History at www.golfwithdeb.com
